Boot Camp Programs

Manhattan Boot Camp is a six week outdoor group fitness program located on the Upper East Side and Upper West Side of Central Park, in Riverside Park near 72nd Street and downtown in Battery Park. 
 
Manhattan Boot Camp offers fitness assessments, nutrition counseling, motivational instruction and fitness training. 
 
Each class is filled with fun and challenging activities designed to help you reach your fitness goals. 
 
Whether you are a beginner or an avid fitness enthusiast, Manhattan Boot Camp will help you lose fat, gain muscle, reduce stress and increase your strength and flexibility.

, we meet in Riverside Park at 72nd Street. Each session runs for six weeks and includes three classes per week. Classes are 55 minutes in length. The next session begins August 18th 2010.

, we meet in Riverside Park at 72nd Street. Each session runs for six weeks and includes three classes per week. Classes are 55 minutes in length. The next session begins August 18th 2010.

CENTRAL PARK - UPPER EAST SIDE
Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, at 6:30am
, we meet near the main entrance to the Reservoir at 90th Street and 5th Ave directly across from the Engineer’s (or, more commonly, Runner’s) Gate. Each session runs for six weeks and includes three classes per week. Classes are 55 minutes in length. The next session begins September 13th 2010.

Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings, at 7:30am
, we meet just inside the 81st street entrance to Central Park at 81st Street and Central Park West. Each session runs for six weeks and includes three classes per week. Classes are 55 minutes in length. The next session begins September 14th 2010.

RATES
Rates for the six week session are only $499. Each six week Manhattan Boot Camp session includes three classes per week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday) for a total of 18 classes.

Instructor Profiles

JASON KEIGHER is certified as a personal trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Jason is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is also certified as a group fitness instructor by ACE and a second level kettlebell instructor by Kettlebell Concepts. Jason began his fitness career at Equinox Fitness and worked as a personal trainer at Reebok Sports Club for over five years. Jason trains clients privately and in small groups throughout NYC. Jason has years of experience designing personalized fitness programs that deliver maximum results for individuals of all ages and fitness levels. His specialties include weight loss/gain, body toning, shaping, strength and flexibility training, postural correction and pre/post natal workouts. 
 




GEORGE MONTERO is a retired NYS Trooper. In 2003 he attended The Swedish Massage Institute, receiving his certificate in massage in 2004. He was licensed that same year. In 2005 George enrolled in Muscle Activation Techniques. MAT is a unique bodywork program based out of Denver, Co. The program consists of eight extended weekends spread out over ten months. George became a MAT certified specialist in 2006. In 2006 and 2007 George also attended Resistance Training Specialist courses in Oklahoma City. George is also a graduate of The Swedish Institutes advanced personal training program. He received his certificate in 2009, along with being nationally certified by both ACE and NSCA in personal training. George is also a second level kettlebell instructor for Kettlebell Concepts. George has spent a lifetime in gyms around the world. His passion is helping people achieve their goals.  
 




DANA MISCIA has a degree in Exercise Science from Manhattan college and is a NASM certified trainer. She has a passion in exercise and helping others reaching their goals. She has previously worked at Reebok Sports Club NY and has taught running classes. Currently she works nights at Goldman Sachs Corporate fitness center. Dana specializes in strength training, cardiovascular work, weight loss, flexibility, and agility training. She has a background in running for the past ten years including track and cross country running at both DIII and DI schools. While running Divison III track, she made it to the Track and Field Nationals. Dana has also been racing triathlons for the past six years which is considers her greatest passion to date.  
 






BETTY MOORE is a competitive bodybuilder and certified personal trainer with over 10 years experience. She enjoys working with clients who relish the challenge of an intensive training program to assist them in achieving short and long term fitness goals. Whether you are looking to train as a competitive bodybuilder, increase strength, lose or gain weight, increase flexibility, or just shape and tone up, Betty has the knowledge and experience to help you get results. Betty has a passion for teaching and inspiring her clients. She possesses the expertise for those who wish to achieve athletic excellence. Betty will help you get results!

What is the sign up process? 
Go to the registration page and fill out the form. After filling out the registration form we'll contact you to schedule your consultation. 
 
What kinds of people go to camp? 
Manhattan Boot Camp is designed for people of all fitness levels. You don't have to be fit to start. If you are recovering from an injury or have a special medical condition we may require you to contact your doctor for a medical clearance.  
 
Where and when do we meet you for each class?  
Central Park boot camp on the Upper East Side meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 6:30am near the main entrance to the Reservoir at 90th Street and 5th Ave directly across from the Engineer’s (or, more commonly, Runner’s) Gate.
 
Central Park boot camp on the Upper West Side meets Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings at 7:30am just inside the 81st street entrance to Central Park at 81st Street and Central Park West.
 
Riverside Park boot camp meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 6:00am and 7am in Riverside Park at 72nd Street.
 
Battery Park boot camp meets Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings at 10:00am in Battery Park near Warren Street.  
 
What do I need to bring to camp? 
You will need to bring running shoes, workout towel, exercise mat, one pair of 5-8lbs hand weights and lots of water. 
 
What about bad weather? 
In the event of severe thunderstorms or lightning, boot camp classes will be cancelled. We run classes in the rain, snow, heat or cold, so dress appropriately!  
 
What forms of payment do you accept? 
We accept cash and checks. 
 
Is there a refund policy? 
If you are unable to attend camp because of a medical issue we will give you credit towards another boot camp run by the same instructor. This credit is nontransferable, and must be used within 6 months with the same instructor. There is no cash refund. This is not negotiable.
